This fall we also got the opportunity to keep some black swallowtail caterpillars and observe them. We found three on our carrot plants!

Tirzah Quotes
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day. We've had some flu which made it so we thought it unwise to attend the family get-togethers, :( but we managed to have a pretty nice day anyway, all things considered. We have so much to thank God for.

Nature Study -- Snake!
One day in early October, Bethany informed us that she thought she saw a snake in our basement bathroom! So I went to check it out. Sure enough:
And yes, it was alive!
And yes, it was alive!

Another Visit With Grandparents -- Late September
We were blessed to spend some time at my parents' house twice in September. Here are some more pictures from late in the month.

Imaginary Museum
The children created a museum from the Peter Earth in September, as part of their play. I thought it was very creative and showed some of the things they've been learning. Bethany and Peter are going to help me describe the photos because I've forgotten what some of them were. I'll put their remarks in quotes.

Today Inspired Poetry
some days
gray spirit-clouds filter sunlight-
sudden soul-storm threatens-
obscures vision-
i cannot see the path-
grope to find You-
amidst chaos-
