Some of you might want to skip this post. It certainly won't be the most beautiful in my opinion, either. But it's kind of incredible to see a spider this large on your front porch step:
In that last one it's on the alert, as I poked it lightly to get it to move into better light. The next time it moved it was to run away, in one amazingly swift motion leaping off the steps and out into the darkness of the grass.
Makes you think a bit about stepping outside barefoot, huh? :)
