Raising Chickens: 6 Weeks Old

They really don't seem like babies anymore.  They continue to grow and change quickly, but they are really maturing, and are much larger.  So I can't really call them chicks anymore.

I tried a larger backdrop this week.  The chair was a bad choice.  They didn't like standing on it.  It's too slick and has a slight angle.  I probably should have changed it, but I didn't.  I simply thought, well, another nicer day I will take them outside again.

And, with a feather she lost.

Silver-laced Wyandotte.  She didn't even want to stand up on the chair, ha.

We finally got her to stand up.

This is "Two Circles."  She has lost her circles, and has remaining of them only a white patch on her head.

Zion with a Barred Rock -- and scattered packing paper, evidence that we recently got a big package delivered.  I'd put some of it down to be under the chickens by the backdrop.  The white paper scraps  were probably thanks to Abraham, who likes to cut paper a lot lately.
