Links I Like

1) Thanks to Homeschool Mo for mentioning the Great Backyard Bird Count, scheduled this year for February 18-21.  I wanted to do this last year with the children but got distracted (probably by upcoming birthdays, the same thing that was distracting me this year in part) and forgot until it was too late.  So I thought we'd do it this year, but probably would have missed it again if she hadn't mentioned it.  Now I'm looking forward to it!  Here's a video about it that I saw on her site (no, I'm not concerned about global warming -- not really sure how anyone could be after this kind of winter!  There are other reasons to count birds, including fun and education!):

2)  Check out Kelly the Kitchen Kop's interview with Sally Fallon, co-author of Nourishing Traditions and founder of the Weston A. Price Foundation!  This is so cool -- thanks for asking questions I've wondered about, Kelly!  I really enjoyed listening.

3)  The Carnival of Homeschooling is being hosted by The Faithful Homeschool this week.  There's always interesting reading at the Carnival.

  1. I have to say that I always remember GBBC up until the actual day and then something always comes up. I realized that this year it is during President's Day weekend. Hopefully I won't get distracted though.

  2. I'm glad you posted on this; I had forgotten about it, too. Have you ever done the Hunt for Bees (aka the great sunflower project)? We like that one, too!

  3. Maybe we should remind each other then, Maureen, as I'm still a little afraid I could forget. :)

Tatiana: No, I don't even recall hearing about the Hunt for Bees before. Thanks for letting me know!
