- Of course this probably isn't the whole story, but it sounds outrageous. A child taken from her mother because her mom refused to give her a medication that caused problems? With a tank? Seriously? I hope there's a good explanation for this, because it just sounds like yet another case of parental rights getting steamrolled.
- Another case in the ongoing parental rights conflict that's of interest... here's a story about a Chicago school that won't allow children to bring lunches from home, citing health reasons. Hmm, I think there's debate over how healthy school lunches are too, isn't there? Controlling food choice is one benefit to homeschooling I hadn't even thought about until recently.
- A midieval fortress in Arkansas? Amazing!
- Tried this dip not long ago and it was good. My husband especially liked it. :)

yeah, the school lunch thing is crazy! We've begun the road of really changing the way we eat,much more whole foods, no high fructose corn syrup (as much as we can avoid it) -and seriously, to be trying to teach your kids to eat healthy, and then to not be allowed to pack your kid a healthy lunch- so they can eat corn dogs, pizza and fruit cups in heavy syrup?! -oh man, I hope many parents see this for what it is, and look into homeschooling.
