Links I Like -- March 4, 2011

  • The Carnival of Homeschooling is up at Notes From A Homeschooling Mom.  My post on Time Management is in it.
  • I have a link to One True Church in my sidebar, but thought I'd put it here, too.  It's a project my husband is involved in.  There's a lot of good information there in both article and video form, from various contributors.
  • The 4 Moms blogged yesterday on the topic of books for early readers.  You can find the links to each of their posts on my "Large Families" page.  Many of the topics they discuss would be helpful for either large or small families.  Yesterday's posts are linked near the bottom.
  • Here's an encouraging article on having many children.
  • This is funny, especially if you've ever worked at a real computer help desk.  On second thought, I'm going to embed it here instead of just linking it.  I've seen it before but saw it most recently at Life In a Shoe.
  • I'll throw this other help desk link in because I looked it up for someone recently after we talked about it, and it's also entertaining.  I read it years ago for the first time.  The Snopes info on it is good to know because for a while I was under the impression that it was an entirely true story.
  • And I just learned about a free e-book by Sonya Shafer called Education Is .  Thanks to Melissa for mentioning it. I've read the one on habits (Smooth and Easy Days) and thought it worthwhile, but hadn't seen this one before.  The upcoming Charlotte Mason Blog Carnival is themed on "Education is an Atmosphere," and right now I feel I need all the help I can get with the atmosphere around here!
