The residue in Philip Syng's inkstand indicates that the Declaration was signed with iron gall ink. (Pokeberry ink was first formulated in 1815 by Laurence A. Washington of Buffalo, Virginia, as attested by numerous primary sources.)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3215113808725670662.post-4281535034710454422011-05-21T12:15:52.393-05:002011-05-21T12:15:52.393-05:00Thanks for sharing this information. It looks like you might be right, although I'd feel better about nailing it down for sure if I had better photos and/or listened to the sound these made again. They may be Blanchard's Cricket Frogs, specifically. I will add some info to the post about this species.Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00488881901957036486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3215113808725670662.post-85042316633051349352010-10-24T17:10:12.280-05:002010-10-24T17:10:12.280-05:00cricket frogscricket frogsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3215113808725670662.post-41953845801992261242009-10-21T21:35:29.924-05:002009-10-21T21:35:29.924-05:00I esp liked the Dec of Ind fact since we are study...I esp liked the Dec of Ind fact since we are studying civics this year!!! :)Shonyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04310547848215492736noreply@blogger.com
